Nick and Destiny came on over to my farmhouse in Tennessee, right on the outskirts of Appalachia, near the Cumberland, to spend their afternoon together in a quiet, intimate embrace, reveling in the sunset, and laughing softly about the future.
Young love is so often overruled by social standards, the race to graduate, make good grades, get a job, set a career, skip over all that being young and being dumb and youthful. We in the USA live in a society where being a teenager means you’re at once silly and inexperienced, but also on the cusp of making descions that affect the rest of your life- from falling in love to your career path. I wanted Nick and Destiny to be able to take a moment to push aside pending responsibilities, stress from assignments, stress from work, and focus only on each other. Their mentions of the future where limited to their dream houses, what pets they wanted, how many children they were dreaming of, and where they wanted to travel too.
One of my main goals during a couples session is that you’re able to focus on each other, to take two hours to prioritize only yourself, only each other, and only your love.
While everyone is always welcome to come on down to my farm, here’s a quick list of my favorite spots to visit in TN for couples sessions. I’m also down to travel ANYWHERE in the US for ANY kind of session! I don’t only travel for my elopements. I might be TN based, but I’m a wanderer at heart. I NEVER share exact locations or pins with anyone other than those I work with in order to uphold LNT principles and protect natural landscapes.
